Chanel, the iconic French fashion luxury house, is strengthening their brand structure. Set to acquire the French fashion clothing group JY BH, including its 4 studios, the company’s operations and employees.
JY BH was founded in 1999 by the designer Jean-Yves Bohère, specialized in making prêt-à-porter luxury collections. It has 4 different studios in France, each dedicated to diverse types of confections, making unique pieces.
Chanel reported to the media "This decision was made on the basis of coinciding interests: the JY BH Group relies on a solid partner that offers it long-term visibility, while Chanel helps to retain exceptional expertise in the heart of France,".
With this last acquisition, Chanel will have acquired 40 companies related to art and fashion. Expanding its capital and process of fabrication, Chanel closed 2022 with a 17% increase in its sales, surpassing the 17.000 million dollars in sales.
